RotaBex is a metal can and container manufacturing plant with a high noise level. The plant
has a Master PLC which monitors operations of 18 machines. The machines are operated by
staff who may leave the machines unattended when running programmed tasks.

RotaBex wants to automatically send text messages to Supervisors, Operators and/or
Managers whenever a machine stops or when the PLC generates an alarm.

The Canamex PageRouter Pro solution will do just that! Our system will connect to the
RotaBex PLC and monitor operations so that when a machine stops or the PLC's relays close
or open, a specific canned message is triggered and sent to selected people carrying a pager.

Paging is an ideal solution for noisy factories. The Canamex ALPHA 4 Gold pager has been
designed for Industrial application with a strong vibrator to alert reception of a message, and
a backlight for dark environments. The buttons are sealed and the plastic case has shock
absorbers to survive rugged use.

With the PageRouter PageAlert solution, RotaBex has increased productivity by responding to
unexpected events and operators needs faster in a fast moving environment.

Notice the names of people, the Groups in pink and the Departments in blue that you can assign
to each contact. You can program a canned message to be transmitted to the assigned
individuals. i.e.: Go to Assembly area - Machine down.

Program logical conditions for each contact when selected to page the programmed canned
message on contact closed or contact opened.

Here is simple example: You want to monitor the opening and closing of a back door. You do
not want PageRouter Pro to page if the door opens and closes within 20 seconds. If the door
is left opened, you want to page a Group of Security Guards until the door closes. If the door
does not close after transmitting the message 3 times every minute, you want to page the Plant
Manager until the door closes. This contact logic programming can be easily done for each port
giving the advantage to control any logical behavior of machines, responding to PLC relay
controls, building doors, etc.

Print the Department List that shows the individuals assigned to each Department. The List also
shows the Groups where each individual is assigned. For example, Bob Redwood is in the
Department "Mechanics" and is also in the Groups A4-1, A5-1 and A9-1.

In addition to sending messages from monitoring relays of PLCs, machines and alarm panels,
staff can go to any computer to login and send text messages to people with pagers. Sending
text messages to individuals, Groups and entire Departments is easy. Open a browser and login
using a username and password. Messages are delivered in seconds.
