Problem 1
How can I quickly page my staff without having to pay a
monthly fee for paging service?
Solution
Buy DigiPager and numeric/vibrate
pagers for your staff.
Problem 2
Customers complain that their food arrives
cold to the table. They also complain that the service
is slow.
Solution:
Press a button in the kitchen to
page the waiter when the food is hot and ready.
Problem 3
A friend of mind told me that he bought
a paging device and pagers for his Restaurant. Waiters
were not receiving messages when they were in the kitchen
or in some areas in the Restaurant away from the transmitting
unit.
Solution
Don't buy any paging device with less
than 2 Watts of power and without "busy channel detection"
to avoid signal interference. DigiPager has an internal
2 Watt transmitter and holds paging for a few seconds until
the frequency channel is free.
The Restaurant Package
(1) DigiPager DPW-2W.
(10) Numeric pagers (choose Yellow, Blue or Black).
(1) PageAlert module (optional).
Package Description
- DigiPager Wireless is
a self-contained paging unit with a professional keypad.
- An internal 2 Watt transmitter
ensures message reception in areas like kitchens, bathrooms,
parking lots, basements and food storage rooms. DigiPager
Wireless of 5 Watts is available to cover larger
areas if required.
- Pagers can be set to beep or
vibrate. Pagers can display number messages.
- The PageAlert unit has 16 dry
contact ports to notify of opening and closing of doors,
food ready, arrival of new customers, valet service request,
etc.
Installation and operation
- Turn on DigiPager using
the AC/DC power adapter.
- Install the batteries in the
pagers. Note that each pager has been labeled with an
ID number. i.e.; 1, 2, etc.
- To page, type the pager ID on
the keypad and press SEND. You have the option to type
a number message. Press SEND to transmit.
- The pager will vibrate notifying
of the message.
Installing the optional PageAlert unit
- Connect each port to a contact
closure triggering device such as a magnetic switch of
a door, a doorbell button, a push button, etc.
- Program in DigiPager one
or a number of pager IDs to be notified for each port.
For example, you can have at the kitchen a pushbutton
panel of 5 switches. The cook presses a switch to notify
a waiter that his order is ready.
