Respond instantly to Emergencies
Use the keyboard or keypad to send
messages. Use the telephone to page people. Transmit code
messages to wireless remote PageControl units to immediately
react to alarm situations. i.e.: Stop motors, close doors,
turn on and off equipment such as Air Conditioning and
Heating units, etc.
PageAlert
 Use
PageAlert to notify any change of status of up to 96 "dry-contact"
ports. By programming, you can assign each port to page
one person or a group of people. Each port can be programmed
with an 18 character canned message (12 characters in DigiPager).
You can program each port to page on contact closure, contact
open or both. (Open only or close only in DigiPager).
When using PageAlert with QUIKPAGER Wireless™,
and if you selected paging at contact closure or contact
open, you can program a delay to page and a repeat time
to page for each port.
PageAlert is ideal for Nurse Calls or
monitoring status of alarm systems in buildings, machinery,
temperature, humidity, smoke, doors and numerous industrial
and commercial applications.
PageControl
PageControl is a POCSAG receiver that
has (4) high-current, high-voltage control contacts activated
by commands transmitted over the air from QUIKPAGER
Wireless™ or DigiPager Wireless™. These commands can be paged using the phone or
the keyboard as a response to an alarm situation.
Application example
A pencil manufacturer has a QUIKPAGER
Wireless™ to page 25 machine operators. The Plant
Manager normally uses the keyboard to page instructions.
Anyone in the plant can use a telephone to page people
with pagers.
A Wireless PageControl unit is connected
to the START switch of each machine.
PageAlert ports are connected to the
temperature sensor relay of each machine.
At 11:32 AM, the high temperature relay
of machine # 5 closed. In a couple of seconds, QUIKPAGER™
automatically paged Mike a canned message "HIGH TEMP #5".
Mike quickly used the phone to call QUIKPAGER™
Wireless and entered ID 5 for the Wireless PageContro™l
of machine #5. He then entered code 100 to turn off the
machine. QUIKPAGER™
transmitted this command to that PageControl and the machine
stopped. He could also have sent a group page to all PageControl
devices to stop all machines at once.
As soon as the temperature of machine
# 5 returned to normal, Mike received a message confirming
that the emergency is over.
Mike saved thousands of dollars in machine
repairs and production time.
QUIKPAGER™ 3000 with PageAlert
QUIKPAGER™
3000 is programmed to page people with commercial pagers.
When PageAlert detects a change of status
in one or more ports, or if it receives a TAP message from
your Security Information System, QUIKPAGER™ 3000 immediately
picks up the telephone line, dials and connects with the
paging company to deliver the alert messages.
Using PageControl units with Commercial
Paging
Use your commercial paging service and
Wireless PageControl units to control remote devices such
as machines, doors, etc.
Simply provide your paging company with
your PageControl cap code. PageControl units can be provided
to operate in the same VHF or UHF frequency of your paging
company.

You can upgrade
your QUIKPAGER™ 2400 V3.1 to QUIKPAGER™ 3000
for Security and Alarm paging in your business. To check
the version of your QUIKPAGER™, type in Main Screen !CONFIG and press Enter. Look immediately
at the second row and read the version number after the
word QUIKPAGER™. I.e. QUIKPAGER™ V3.1. Press
Exit to go back to main Screen.
